Tantu is your personal Food AI Companion that helps you generate intelligent vegetarian recipes, plan weekly meals with fasting mode support, track food expiry dates, manage waste alerts, view comprehensive insights and useful kitchen tools. This Privacy Policy explains what data we handle, how we use it, and how your privacy is protected.

- Voice input data (processed locally, never stored)

This data never leaves your device. We do not have access to it, and it is not transmitted to any server.
📬 Push Notifications
Tantu may send informational notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging. This requires a push notification token – a random identifier that lets a message reach your device. It does not contain any personal information, food data, or location details.
- We do not collect your name, email, or account details.
- No analytics, crash reports, or device information is gathered by Tantu.
- The token is used only to deliver notifications you have opted into.
Tantu does not sell, share, or use the token for any other purpose.
Local Data Storage:
- All your food data (recipes, meal plans, expiry tracker, cooking history) is stored locally on your device using secure browser storage
- No personal food preferences or meal plans are transmitted to external servers
- You maintain complete control over your local data – uninstalling the app removes all local data permanently
Push Notification Token Storage:
- The push notification token is stored securely on Google Firebase servers, as required by the messaging service
- No other user or food data is stored on Firebase
- All token transfers are encrypted in transit using HTTPS
Tantu uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging): To deliver push notifications
- Google Fonts: For improved typography and readability
- Font Awesome: For consistent UI icons and elements
These services have their own privacy policies governing data handling.
To generate vegetarian recipes from your ingredients, Tantu uses a cloud‑based AI service. When you request a recipe, the list of ingredients you provide is sent to this service for processing. The generated recipe is returned to your device. No personal information is shared, and the service does not store your ingredient data.
You are in full control of your Tantu data. You can:
- Add, edit, or delete planner meals, tracker items, and recipe history at any time
- Clear entire history or tracker data with one-click operations
- Customize fasting days and meal preferences
- Disable push notifications in your device settings
- Uninstall the app to remove all local data permanently
Tantu is designed for general food planning and kitchen management use. It is not targeted at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features or compliance requirements. Updates will be published here with a revised date. Continued use of Tantu after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
